Welgelegen occupies two former Victorian homes in Gardens, within Cape Town’s City Bowl. A leafy courtyard and plunge pool form a quiet centre to the stay, with restaurants around nearby Kloof Street providing neighbourhood dining options.
The City Bowl and Bo-Kaap can be combined with a Peninsula day and a Table Mountain visit. Robben Island is another possible outing. Tickets, ferry operations and suitable weather determine the arrangements for these experiences.
Welgelegen opens our Cape Coast to Bush journey before the route continues to Cliff Lodge, Knysna and Shamwari. Additional city nights can be included before the road journey begins, with transfers or a driver-guide arranged around your preferred pace.
