Travel from Johannesburg towards Welgevonden and connect with the lodge’s arranged reserve transfer. The meeting gate and arrival procedure must be reconfirmed, since access arrangements can change. Check the international arrival carefully; an extra Johannesburg night may be preferable to a late, hurried lodge arrival.
Spend three full days following the lodge’s current safari programme, interspersed with unhurried time at your suite. Repeated outings allow changing light and different animal behaviour to shape the experience. No particular sighting is promised, and a privately designed journey does not automatically mean a private game-drive vehicle.
Return through the reserve’s arranged transfer system and continue by road to 10 2nd Avenue Boutique Hotel. The Houghton overnight gives the journey a practical break before crossing the Indian Ocean. Keep this evening simple; a city excursion is unnecessary unless there is genuinely enough time and interest.
Transfer to OR Tambo for the proposed Johannesburg–Mahé service marketed by Air Seychelles, subject to the actual schedule. Continue by road to Story Resort on Beau Vallon. There is no additional inter-island crossing: the Seychelles half deliberately keeps its logistics simple after the safari.
Spend five full days between the coast, optional spa time and a separately arranged Mahé outing if desired. Nothing needs to compete with the early safari starts of the first half. Depart from Mahé on day twelve, with the road transfer planned around your international flight.
