Connect through Velana International Airport to the resort’s daylight seaplane transfer. International arrival time must suit that operation; an additional airport-area night may otherwise be necessary. After reaching Hurawalhi, unpack and rest rather than scheduling a water activity on the arrival afternoon.
Begin with the current snorkelling orientation and advice on entry points, currents and equipment. Choose a guided session if it suits your ability. Learning how to enter and leave the water respectfully is a better starting point than heading out alone in pursuit of a particular animal.
Discuss guided reef outings or a marine-focused session with the resort team. Wildlife, visibility and conditions determine what is sensible; no turtle, manta or other encounter is guaranteed. Qualified divers can explore appropriate options separately, with certification and safety requirements checked before anything is confirmed.
Consider a reservation at the resort’s 5.8 Undersea Restaurant as a different way to experience the underwater setting. Seating, menus and charges must be confirmed. Leave the rest of the day light, allowing this single experience to be the occasion rather than surrounding it with more bookings.
Use two final full days for a favourite guided outing, shore time or a spa appointment. If diving, agree a suitable pre-flight surface interval with the dive operator. Return by seaplane on day eight with the required international connection margin, allowing for operational changes.
