Explore the propertyThis is a couple’s island stay with a culinary emphasis rather than a procession of excursions. Shangri-La Le Touessrok provides the base at Trou d’Eau Douce. A special dinner, a possible island outing and ordinary slow mornings carry equal weight; the final plan can be celebratory without becoming over-orchestrated.
Trou d’Eau Douce, Mauritius
Room to explore, time to settle in. We refine the details around your preferences and the arrangements available for your dates.

Travel from the airport to Trou d’Eau Douce and settle into the confirmed accommodation. Keep dinner simple on arrival, saving any special occasion meal for a day when you are rested. A brief orientation is enough; there is time to discover the resort gradually.
Take a full day to enjoy the setting before choosing further plans. A long breakfast and a slow afternoon create space after travel. Discuss dining preferences with the team, including dietary needs and reservations, so that the food element reflects your tastes rather than a fixed tasting itinerary.
Consider a visit to the resort’s Ilot Mangénie island, checking current access, boat arrangements and any dining reservation requirements. Let weather decide the best timing. If conditions do not favour the crossing, keep the day on the main resort and move the idea rather than forcing it.
Build the day around one carefully chosen meal, with the rest left open. The resort’s range of dining gives a starting point; any off-resort food experience would be arranged separately. A celebration dinner, table setting or special menu is a request to confirm, never an automatic inclusion.
Use the final two full days for a possible spa visit, an optional activity or more lagoon time. Golf can be discussed for interested travellers, with access, tee times and charges checked separately. Depart on day seven by road, carrying a lighter schedule into the journey home.
These are the starting points for your accommodation. Room categories, meal plans and activities are confirmed with your proposal.

The east coast can be windier in May–October. Summer is warmer, with greater rain risk in January–March; boat-based plans need flexibility in every season.
Concept itinerary, not a fixed package. Accommodation, room category, meals, transfers, flights, guiding, activities and local charges are agreed in an individual quotation. Suggested experiences depend on operating conditions and availability; nothing is included merely because it appears here. Restaurant reservations, island access arrangements, golf and celebration extras are confirmed individually. No private island exclusivity is promised.
